Mel and Linda See

Heather was born in 1962 and spent her toddler years in Arizona. In 1964, Mel left to Africa. He had wanted Linda and Heather to go with him, but Linda said no. He left and hoped that his wife and daughter would follow them. Instead, a letter from Linda came, telling him that she was getting a divorce. After Linda finished her college courses in 1965, Linda and Heather moved to New York. While Heather attended school, Linda worked as a photographer for the Town & Country magazine. In 1967, Linda went on a brief trip to England where she met Paul McCartney. A year later, Paul invited Linda and Heather to live with him in England. On March 12, 1969, Paul and Linda married with Heather as the flower girls and Paul adopted Heather as his own daughter. After Mary was born in 1969, the McCartneys went to Scotland to escape the mayhem of the Beatles' breakup. In 1971, Paul decided to make a return to the music world and form a group with Linda, later to be called Wings. Up until 1980, Heather, Mary, Stella, and James accompanied their parents around the world with Wings. The children were educated with a tutor until Wings stopped touring, and then they went to local public schools. In 1981, Heather photographed Steve and Carol Gadd in Montserrat, which she called "Waterfall" and won a Young Printer of the Year Ilford award. During the 1980s, Heather got in contact with her biological father, Mel, and moved to Arizona with him. While there, Heather discovered many colors and cultures of ceramics. She returned to England and started working as a potter, living in her studio. In 1995, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer. It looked as though she was recovering until March of 1998 when the cancer spread to her liver. On April 17, Linda died in Tucson, Arizona, while on a McCartney family holiday. Heather was at her mother's side and called her father, Mel. Less than a year later, on March 19, 1999, Mel committed suicide. Heather entered a clinic after experiencing some emotional problems and depression. In 1999, before her father's death, Heather revealed her new line of house ware products with Paul at her side in Atlanta, Georgia. Heather lives on Paul's Essex estate in England. In the Summer of 2009, Heather worked at the Horse Refuge, trying to save it from closure.
